October 28, 2010

Yesterday, it was cool. I got to see all of the children dress as their future career. There was a doctor veterinarian, nurses, baseball player, soccer player, singer, rock star, and spider man. They were so cute.
We were going to do an activity on the active board, but it was not working (that ruined the teacher plans). As Mrs. Alvarado always says "When there is a problem, there's always a solution". So, her solution was to do center activities (little math games). On the last ten minutes of class, the teacher said "Cendy brought us a present for everybody. Cendy, could you bring your surprise and tell us what you brought" so I did, I told them I had brought candy for everybody. One by one they camed, and they all thank me and gave a hug!!
It was a very fun experienced to see them all dress up as what they want to be when they grow up.

October 21,2010

Yesterday, was a very random, awful, stressful day for my teacher.Everything was going well until a little girl was feeling bad, and threw up in class (I was worried for the little girl). This made all of the teachers plans get behind schedule because they had early dissmisal that day. I also show them the little witches I did, and they were all staring at them like WOAH!!!! They all liked it, and we were thinking of where to put it and they all wanted on the active board, so I taped it there.

Also I had to interview her questions about the conference they were going to have. And one of the question was How would you prepare your conference?
Answer:     She gives them a  folder with their names on, and tells them to put some of the work that she wants them to put there show their parents the work they do in class. Also she tells them to pick a favorite book that they like, and put it on the foldor to show them to their parents.

The other question was: What would you do if the child's parent shows no interest on the child's educational development?

Answer:      I would talk seriously to the parent about how impotant it is for a child to do well at school, and give examples of what would happen to the child if he/she does not do well or if it does well. If the parent from there still doesn't show any interest, I will try to find a relative of the child that would care for the child's education, and if there is no one, I will then help the child myself to help her get through things.

Hopefully next week my teacher feels much better after all of this conference is over. =)

September 30, 2010 - 4th week

Yesterday was pretty much the same as any other week.
The only different thing that we did was addition, and solving problems.
We also learn about different types of liquid, and their description.
And we colored pictures, which it was fun!!
